Inspiration
I haven’t quite made my way through the entire September Vogue yet, but here are my favorites from it so far
Steven Meisel is one of my favorite photographers. I can recognize his work a mile away, such amazingly rich colors and theres just so much to look at in each photo. Love.
I am LOVING these leggings from White house Black market, I’m doing some shopping today might have to pop in to the Union Square store and see if they have them in yet.
I love this trend of the cutout shoulders. I probably won’t be going for the Versace’s anytime soon but I’m sure I can scrounge up a convincing stunt double.
I honestly don’t know a lot about Eileen Fisher but after seeing her collage style spread in Vogue I will have to do some research. I loved how everything had that effortless layered basics look.
Day and Night
I live a little off the beaten path, so I often have to layer for both day and night before leaving the house in order to avoid killing 2 hours dashing home to change.
Will be wearing the layered look today and then tugging off the shirtdress for cock-tailing later.
Not fully commited to the boots yet, might switch them up before I leave. Short dress plus leather boots might be a touch to much.
This is pretty much the perfect little black dress. The bracelet I’m wearing is one of my current favs, but that tends to change weekly.
Chaos Theory
I was in a rush to get out the door this morning which means my outfit was slightly uninspired, and tragically unfall-like. But I do like this dress so I decided to share anyway.
I go back and forth on this dress. I think the cut is a tad frumpy, but I do like the unfinished hemlines at the top and the sheer gray print.
Many a legging have passed through my repertoire but none are quite as perfect as Hue’s.
This very long day has come to a close, tomorrow is a new (hopefully less frantic) day.
After the party is the after party
After years of working in the industry, i recently decided to get out. some of you may remember me from Model Behavior (modbehav.com) where I chronicled the nutritional/fitness regiments of a working model. Well that ship has sailed, times have changed, and therefore, so has the blog. Although my passion for modeling has wained, my affinity for fashion has not.
So from here on out I guess my life will be a little less of this
And a little more of this
Ok this might not be so bad.
I live here
Not in this exact building mind you, but in the insanity that is NYC. I moved here for career purposes but adore the city and have no plans to leave. I’m not 100% sure what my next move is, modeling was my dream for years and now I need a new direction. Hopefully I can find some inspiration soon.
Or maybe I’ll die of boredom first. Life on thsi side of coin can be a bit…dull.
